Would love to hear from anyone with recent (2020/2021) experience of traveling to Mauritania, and to Chinguetti in particular. The official UK and US government advice is strongly negative and off-putting, but most recent online comments indicate that these fears are overblown.

#godwit 'Castricum' did not migrate to Taimyr, but remained in German #WaddenSea. In the late afternoon of 19 July she took off in a southwesterly direction. After a 3 day nonstop flight she arrived in Parc National du Banc d'Arguin, Mauritania, on evening of 22 July. https://twitter.com/GlobalFlyway/status/1388771000456826884 …pic.twitter.com/4CXG2Zochf

@SecMayorkas, for making the right call to extend AND redesignate TPS for Somalia. Shout out to advocates and champions in Congress that made this happen. Still hoping for new TPS designations for other countries, including Mauritania and Cameroon. https://twitter.com/camiloreports/status/1417135846172631049 …
