Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Toopics, a directory of Discord servers submitted by their own communities. By browsing the site or submitting a listing, you agree to what follows. If you disagree with any part of it, please don’t use the site.

What Toopics is

Toopics is an independent listing site. We publish short descriptions of Discord servers, sorted by topic, so people can find communities around the things they care about: tabletop games, video games, hobbies, and whatever else gets submitted and approved.

We are not Discord. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. Toopics is a small, independent project with no connection to the platform itself.

Listings are run by third parties

Every server listed on Toopics is created, owned, and moderated by someone other than us. We have no control over what happens inside a server once you join it. That includes the rules, the moderators, the members, the messages, the voice channels, the bots, and any files or links shared there.

A listing on Toopics means a server owner or representative submitted it and we chose to publish it. It does not mean we have vetted the community, read its chat history, checked its moderation, or verified that the description is accurate today. Servers change. A quiet, well-run community can become something else within weeks, and we won’t necessarily know.

Join at your own judgment

You decide whether to join a server. Before you do, read the server’s own rules, look at how members behave, and use Discord’s privacy and safety settings. If something feels off, leave.

Toopics is not responsible for anything that happens to you, your account, or your data inside a third-party server. We make no promises that any listed server is safe, active, friendly, age-appropriate, or still in existence. If you have a problem with a server, Discord’s own reporting tools are the right place to start.

We can refuse or remove listings

We decide what appears on Toopics. We may decline a submission, edit a description for clarity or accuracy, or remove an existing listing at any time, with or without explanation.

Reasons we commonly refuse or remove listings include:

  • Servers that promote hate, harassment, or violence
  • Servers built around piracy, cheating software, scams, or illegal activity
  • Adult content, or any server that isn’t clearly appropriate for a general audience
  • Misleading descriptions, fake member counts, or invite links that go somewhere other than the described server
  • Dead invite links or servers that no longer exist
  • Duplicate submissions for the same server
  • Anything that breaks Discord’s own Terms of Service or Community Guidelines

This list is not exhaustive. Publishing a listing is a courtesy, not a right, and it can be withdrawn.

Submitting a listing

When you submit a server to Toopics, you confirm all of the following:

  1. You own the server or have permission from its owner to list it.
  2. The description you provide is honest and describes the server as it actually is.
  3. The invite link you supply works and points to the server you described.
  4. The server complies with Discord’s rules.

You keep ownership of the text you write for your listing, but you grant us permission to display it, trim it, correct obvious errors, and move it between categories as we see fit. If you want a listing updated or taken down, let us know through the site and we’ll handle it as quickly as we reasonably can.

Submitting the same server repeatedly, submitting servers you don’t represent, or using automated tools to flood the queue will get your submissions ignored.

Discord trademark

Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. We use the name only to describe what the listed communities are. Nothing on Toopics should be read as a claim of affiliation with Discord Inc., and nothing here grants you any rights to that trademark.

Content is for information only

Everything on Toopics, including server descriptions, category pages, and any guides or articles we publish, is provided for general information. We try to keep it accurate, but we don’t guarantee it. Member counts drift, communities rebrand, owners hand over the keys, and descriptions written months ago may no longer fit.

Don’t treat anything on this site as professional advice of any kind. If a decision matters, confirm the facts yourself.

External sites

Toopics links out to Discord invite pages and may occasionally link to other websites, such as a community’s wiki, forum, or storefront. Those sites belong to other people. We don’t control their content, their privacy practices, or their availability, and a link from Toopics is not an endorsement. Once you leave this site, their terms apply, not ours.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, copy, or republish the directory in bulk without permission
  • Attempt to interfere with the site’s operation, security, or infrastructure
  • Submit false information or impersonate a server owner
  • Use the site to spam, advertise unrelated products, or distribute malware
  • Use the site in any way that breaks applicable law

We may block access to anyone who ignores these rules.

No warranty and limitation of liability

Toopics is provided as is and as available. We don’t promise it will be free of errors, uninterrupted, or always online. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from any listed server, or from any external site we link to. Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it is limited to the minimum the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We will update these terms when the site changes or when we spot something that needs clarifying. The version published on this page is the one that applies. Continuing to use Toopics after an update means you accept the revised terms, so check back from time to time if you submit listings regularly.

Questions

If you have a question about these terms, want a listing corrected or removed, or believe a listed server breaks our rules, reach out through the contact options on the site. We read everything, though we can’t promise a response to every message.
